Fifth Grade Reading Projects

The students had to present a book report on either a fantasy, myth, or folktale book.  The students were given several choices for projects.  Some of those including dressing up as the character, making a book cover, or creating puppets!  The fifth graders did a great job!

PDS Veteran's Day Ceremony

Caroline wrote a letter to Mr. Turner inviting him to come to our Veteran's Day Celebration.

Mr. George Turner, WWII Veteran, presented Caroline with a jar of sand from the Normandy Beach Invasion.

Since Mr. Turner was in the Normandy Invasion, this was a special gift for Caroline!

After reading James and the Giant Peach, fifth graders made papier mache peaches.  We painted them, added seagulls, and hung them in the classroom!
